AICE Media Studies

 For the final task we have to film a 2 minute introduction to a movie. We were allowed to pick partners for the final task. I chose Riana Morales. She is from a different class but I know her well. I know that she is a good worker and puts effort into her tasks. I have worked with her before on different assignments. We both i would say are fast workers and wants to see a good result. I have realized I work better in groups or with other people. I am typically an independent person however, I think collaborating on work is easier then alone. Groups/partners usually work good for me, so I am happy I have a partner. I also generate ideas better with other input. I am excited to see what we come up with. We have to make a script and plot soon. We are capable of meeting outside of school to get this completed. We will call tonight to to talk about first ideas for the project. I think we will use some of our friends to help us act during the film. Our friends have done this project before

 My name is Wren Ruby. I am in 11th grade and go to Fort Lauderdale Highschool. I am half way through school and my Media Studies class. I did 2 projects this year. The commercial, and the music video. I have learned a lot of knowledge on filming so far. The music video project was the most useful to gain practice. I somewhat enjoy filming, it is very repetitive and detail oriented. It is exciting to see the finished product. We have done a few practice essays in class to practice for the end of the year. I definitely want to do more to get more practice.  We are about to start or final task in class. It is a short film. I am excited to start the final task and figure out my plot. I have to make a storyboard and a script. I feel like making the script would be the hardest part. I am exciting to learn more about the filming process, especially during this project because it is the biggest one.  I am not sure what theme I want yet. I think a mystery/dark theme would be cool. I am excited
