Had so much fun!



Finally! We finished the music video. It was a lot of hard but fun work. I don't think the final result is perfect but it really has effort. I believe that my production skills have increased. This is because I have done two major projects at this point. I feel like editing and producing the music video was different from a commercial. The music video was much harder and in depth. I enjoyed filming the commercial more because it was more spontaneous and integrate. My favorite part of making pieces like the commercial and the music video, is the filming part. I feel like I am best at this side of production. My weak side is editing. I have never edited before this year. I still find it very hard and frustrating. I have learned a lot from my teammates and I am happy I am with them. With the music video I feel like we were creative however stayed within the Ice Cube vibe. I like when we made a scene of the actor eating breakfast while it came up in the lyrics. Overall filming is something I'm learning and getting better at. Even though it's annoying sometimes. I am planning on picking the same teammates for the future. We are growing as a team.

We would love to get plenty of actors for this comedy film as well, to create many different funny characters.  What elements do not appeal to you and why wouldn't you use them? Some comedies use funky costumes and crazy makeup. I would want to steer away from that to build a better quality film.

Title Research: Gattaca

1.  How many titles are displayed during the opening sequences to the film?  Which ones?     There was a total of 18 title scenes, 20 including the two quotes at the very beginning. It started with the quotes then went to the main production company(Columbia), the production, who the film was by, finally the cast. They showed two cast members then the main title, Gattaca, then the rest of the cast. It is assumed that the two first cast members listed are the main actors. Then finally, the other important people that added to the film at the end. 2.  What connotations do the images carry?  ( how  do you they make you feel) The imaging at the start is most just blue screen. It shows something falling and bouncing around in the background. Then at the end you can see a main shaving his beard. The movie is starting at the end of the title sequence. Title Design

 Working Title: The film name is likely to be "Bad Habits". It will be in edgy writing,  SOMETHING LIKE THIS.  The writing will most likely be  capitalization. It could also be some capital letters and some lowercase. For example something like this. (Just showing the style and size of letters) I want to make the title come up and look  staticky almost. I want to use a light background with dark words or vise versa. When the main title comes up it should be bold and make a statement because the film is very deep. I think the main ideal color for the title card font should be black. All the of the title scenes will be inputted in like slamming into the screen. The main title will stay for 5 seconds. However the other titles in the the title sequence will be 2-3 seconds.
