Production: Finding the Perfect Location
Today I went over location of the shoot. I knew majority of the film would be shot in different places of my house. For scenes where the father is not in his daughters room, I wanted to figure out the best location. I walked around my house considering suitable settings. My mother has rather "glamours" taste, and loves to make the house look nice. This in mind, I had to be sure there were places I could take shots that wouldn't portray any sort of lavish scenery. In the scene where the father is passed out in his chair, I had a vision of a big, brown reclining arm chair. However, I do not own any type of chairs like this, just rolling office chairs. Instead, I figured I could use the end of our brown couch. My tv in room is rather plain at the moment, and has brown walls, so it seemed fitting.
