We would love to use good lighting, creative scripts, many interactions, voiceovers. We would love to get plenty of actors for this comedy film as well, to create many different funny characters.  What elements do not appeal to you and why wouldn't you use them? Some comedies use funky costumes and crazy makeup. I would want to steer away from that to build a better quality film.

Title Research: Virgin Suicides

  What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? American Zoetropes presents, a muse production, and in association with eternity pictures is showed first. The title of the movie was presented more in the middle. What images are prioritized in the opening sequences? The first prioritized images are those of the neighborhood that the story takes place, views of neighbors walking their dogs and watering their lawns. They are all very serene images in a basic sunny setting. Then it goes into the bathroom where Cecilia had an attempt, and the ambulance come to save her.  What connotations do these images carry? The images carry an unsuspecting connotation. They show the dark or hidden side of a seemingly normal, happy neighborhood and family. Many people may think nothing goes on in their normal suburban town, but there are always dark sides and hidden truths. It is a rather mundane connotation to it at first, but turns more interesting. Planning the music video!

    Props: Since my group and I decided to film a music video for the song It Was A Good Day by ICE CUBE, the props we will include is basketballs, slushies from 7-11, and an alarm clock. We will be using other props as well, but they have not yet been determined. Costumes: In the music video, we will have all our group members in the video. For the scene where were at the park, I will wear athletic clothes for when I play basketball. I will wear sneakers, shorts, and a tank top. The actors will wear what they want for the scenes because the music wants to show that the actors are having a good day just being themselves. The music video will show that it like any other good day. Schedule: On 11/12/21: Me and my group research conventions of music videos and the song, It Was a Good Day.
